AXE belt vs. gut belt??

i just got a LAFD axe belt in im not sure if i should have gotten the famous gut belt. tell me your thoughts

What is a "gut belt"? I like the traditional leather belt with the scabbard attached. Some people use other commercially developed belts, but I find that unless you clip it together way over to one side, the axe holder ends up too far to the rear to be handy.

I believe that the "gut belt" is the traditional scabbard with the thick belt. It looks like the old weight lifter support belt.

The LAFD style is thinner but still has the same axe holder pouch.

Doesn't the gut belt say "GUT BELT" on it? And if you already bought it, isn't too late to worry about it now? Run with what you got if that is what you dig!:cool:
