Worked with a couple experienced guys on the job a few days ago and man was it cool. Saw some stuff during a fire response that I will never forget.
Anyone have a guess how to get through a wrought iron fence in about 15-seconds? The hole was big enough to get 2 lines,2 ladders, and my butt through no problemo. I sure as hell wasn't going over the fence!
You grey beards gotta remember that you will be gone soon and that the new crew will consist of guys with more experience playing Halo & texting about their "feelings" than framing a house & rebuilding a carb. God I hate EMO kids.
Pass on all those cool things that were taught to you. We want to learn.

Neatness counts. But if you have the TROG-GERNAUT, you use him to make openings where there were none before!!!

I always hung out with my Dad whenever he was doing anything. He taught me a lot of things that most girls would never dream of doing. I can hammer a nail, use power tools and rebuild lawnmower engines (or any small motor).

I'm probably more of the tomboy type than most guys prefer, but I still do my nails and hair.

Even when I did not want to hang out with my Dad, he made me if he thought I was going to learn something valuable.

I owe a lot to that man. He is a Fireman's fireman.

Was working the other day with one of our "Salty Dogs" (Vegas Vic) and he too dropped some knowledge on me! Listen to what those older brother's got to say....sometimes it makes sense. Not always, "I just used to ride Rescue 1 for 10 years, and I never complained!"

I'm thinking if he had an EMO, xbox playing, texting rook with him he probably threw his *BLEEP**BLEEP**BLEEP* through it to make the hole. Ha Ha

Cheesyman, you might be right!

Ended up that he used a pickhead axe at the point where the upright and cross bar weld was. Easy as pie.
