Who you want to be the new President of the United States of America. Just a little thought, if Clinton wins, that would be 24 years of just Bush's and Clintons in office.

I'll try to sound neutral here, since I can't tell if you're saying 24 years in a good way or a bad way...but, let's clarify the math. G. H. W. Bush: 12 years (8 as V.P.); W. J. Clinton: 8 years; G.W. Bush: 8 years. That's 28 years...and IF H. R. Clinton gets into office, that would be an addition of 8 years (someone should tell her it's only a four year term unless you do the job well enough to be voted back in for another four years...but if you listen to her speeches she's running for an eight year term). That would put the Bush / Clinton tally at 32 if not 36 years.

Yeah, your are right about the math. Didnt count for the VP stuff. Anyways, i was just making a point. Im not paying much attention to whats going on with all this president stuff as much as i need to be.

That seems surprising to me Red Hot. From reading your other posts, I get the impression that you are a young firefighter.

My point is that the media keeps stating that this has been the most in tune "young generation" involved with any presidential race.

No derogatory implication towards you my friend.

Just a statement.:)

I’m truly not impressed with any of them. I sure would like to see a president who does not have millions of dollars from the special interest groups. Wouldn’t be great to see someone run that is self made with there own ideas? Someone that truly is for the people of this country instead of for the big corporations and fat lobbyist that fill there pockets.

Scuba Out

Don't Dive were it stinks!

So far I am leaning more towards McCain, not because he looks like the best guy ever, but more like the lesser of three evils. Second place goes to Obama, and I definately do not want another Clinton in office. Neither does my Health care plan. When going to the polls, remember, POW first, then Bros before Hoes!

how about teddy roosevelt and the rough riders to bring a semblance of control and tough work for everybody involved? no more handouts for the rich and no more give aways to the poor?

keep cleaning up your own mess and you'll live a little better than you did yesterday or last year.:D

Here is an interesting position. A small majority here is supporting or prefers McCain. Why does the IAFF always go with the democratic nominee. Earlier in the campaign trail the IAFF was supporting Dodd...where is he now? Sometimes, I tire of seeing every campaign or proposition say they are endorsed by firefighters. I appreciate the respect we are given by the general public, but do you think they tire of the politics of "police, sheriffs, firefighters, nurses, and teachers"?

The IAFF is always gonna support the democratic candidate due to democrats typically being Pro-Union.
I also find it interesting that since Dodd dropped out we haven't stepped up to support any other candidate. I heard that both camps contacted the IAFF after Dodd dropped out looking for our support, but we don't wanna commit too quick and have to change again. I think Obama will be getting the nomination. And I will probably vote for him.
I do like McCain lately though. He has shown some positive changes in the way that he addresses people and I think his style would be greatly different than what we have seen in the past. But he is rather old, so time will tell.
What it boils down to, any way you look at it, it is gonna be an improvement!!!

It looks like we could have saved the Democratic Party some time and money if they would have just used our poll. Now, if we could only get both parties to see our wisdom come November...

How come Romney's not on the list? What we need is a financial wizard to us out of this mess...

I heard speculation that he may be on the short list of G.O.P. candidates for V.P.
