Urban Search & Rescue
Medical Team Training

DESCRIPTION: This course is a FEMA “Approved” course and is designed to meet the initial training requirements for FEMA Urban Search and Rescue Teams Medical Specialist and Medical Team Manager. This course is approved and meets all the FEMA requirements for Medical Team Training. The course covers team’s deployments, medical operations, safety, medical and rescue techniques.
PREREQUISITE: Students must be members of a California State Regional Task Force. This course is best suited for personnel with minimum medical training to Paramedic level.
DATES & TIMES: June 16-20, 2008
LOCATION: LAFD Fire Station 88 located at 5101 Sepulveda Blvd., Sherman Oaks (405/101 Fwys)
ENROLLMENT: Fees ~ $1,550.00 per student. Tuition includes MTT manual, meals, and support materials. Complete the attached Registration Form and return to CFRTA: fax (916) 640-1422 or mail 4427 Dudley Blvd., McClellan, CA 95652. Make checks payable to CFRTA.
Deadline to register is June 2, 2008.
LODGING: Sheraton Universal Hotel, 333 Universal Hollywood Drive, Universal City, CA 91608.
Call (818) 980-1212 and identify yourself as a member of the California Fire & Rescue Training Group before June 5 to receive the group rate of $147.50/night.
CERTIFICATION: A Certificate of Completion will be provided by CFRTA.
